Economic ties between Iran and Azerbaijan will expand, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in an interview with Iran's Sahar TV.
"In the first step we envision at least USD 5 billion [amount of economic ties]. This [sum] can easily be increased", Ahmadinejad said, PressTV reported.
Currently, the annual trade turnover between the two countries is $ 550 million.
The Iranian chief executive on Thursday has attended the third summit of the leaders of Caspian littoral states in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku.
