In 2010 Azerbaijan produced about 1.3 million tons of cement, which is 0.6 percent les than in 2009, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.
In January-November Azerbaijan imported about 1.45 million tons of cement and cement clinker, which is 10.1 percent less than the same period last year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said. Cement and cement clinker in January-November was imported in the amount of about $68 million, which is 7.2 percent less than 2009.
Cement clinker in January-November was imported in the amount of 572,400 tons, which is 0.8 percent less than the last year. Clinker was imported in the amount of about $26.54 million, 17.8 percent more than 2009.
During January-November approximately 880,100 tons of cement was imported to the country, or 15.2 percent less than the same period of 2009. Cement worth about $41.43 million was imported to the country, or 1.4 percent less than in January-November 2009.
