Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze discussed investments in the economic sector in Doha during his official visit to Qatar.
As the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend, Vashadze has already met with the country's energy and industry ministers, a businessmen association leader, and the executive director of Qatari Airways.
The sides talked about future cooperation in the economic sphere, and also reviewed energy and business projects in which Qatari businessmen are interested.
"We talked about specific plans between the largest companies in Qatar and Georgia," Vashadze said.
According to Qatari Businessmen Association Chairman Sheikh Faisal Al-Thani, Qatari businessmen are particularly interested in Georgian tourism potential.
"We are optimistic about the possibility of Qatari investments in Georgia," he said.
Tomorrow, the Georgian FM will meet with the Qatari PM and emir.
