Turkmen-American Business Forum to be held in Ashgabat in May

The Turkmen-American Business Forum and the first exhibition of American companies will be held in Ashgabat on May 19-20, 2011 on the instructions of the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov.

The Turkmen-American Business Forum and the first exhibition of American companies will be held in Ashgabat on May 19-20, 2011 on the instructions of the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan is authorized to conclude the contracts with the relevant agencies in the United States of America required to conduct an exhibition of U.S. companies and the Turkmen-U.S. business forum in Turkmenistan. The document also approves the membership of the organizing committee of the exhibition and forum.
Berdimuhammadov offered to hold a business forum at a recent meeting with Eric Stuart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council, noting that "the use of such a format of cooperation will have a positive impact on strengthening mutually beneficial partnership".
In this regard such world-renowned companies as Boeing, Caterpillar, Chevron, John Deere, ExxonMobil, Case New Holland, Marathon Oil, Sikorsky, ConocoPhillips, Honeywell and others, which had earned the reputation of being a dependable and promising partners on the Turkmen market, were provided as the examples of dynamic and fruitful cooperation between the U.S. business circles and Turkmenistan.
Eric Stuart emphasized that an increasing number of U.S. companies expressed the willingness to cooperate with Turkmenistan.
