Roughly 24 entrepreneurs received the loans worth 2.2 million manat at the first credit fair in Baku, held by the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development, executive director of the fund Shirzad Abdullayev told media.
"The event is held within the state support of entrepreneurs operating in Baku settlements,"Abdullayev said.
About 200 entrepreneurs attended the fair.
He said that the establishment of enterprises for processing and packaging of olives, small and medium enterprises for baking bread, poultry farms or reconstruction with the use of modern technologies, greenhouses and support of small entrepreneurs are the priorities for financing Baku settlements through the fund.
The fund plans to finance issuing preferential loans to the amount of 125 million manat in 2011.
