Ensuring the safety of passenger and freight transport is part of Azerbaijan Railways' daily routine, Company Spokesman Nadir Azmammadov said.
He said the cars are checked both when passing through customs checkpoints and during sending and receiving. Police conduct regular inspections and checks on the platforms at every railway station.
"Following the transition to a computerized ticket-sales system, accurate passenger lists are sent to the customs checkpoints. This is also part of our overall security," Azmammadov said.
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Spokesman Maharram Safarli said security is an important factor in air travel. Therefore, daily checks of passengers and their cargo are carefully conducted and the planes examined.
"The checks and controls, both in the airport and on board aircraft, are carried out every day," Safarli said.
The Baku International Bus Station stressed that the service has a security service on its territory.
Police ensures safety of visitors and passengers who use the vehicles.
