Azerbaijan imported 252,200 tons of cement and cement clinkers in January-February or 30.7 percent more compared to the same period of 2010, the State Statistics Committee said.
Cement and cement clinkers were imported in the amount of about $11.5 million or 15.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2010.
Cement clinkers were imported in the amount of 94,200 tons in January-February or 34.6 percent more compared to 2010. Clinkers were imported in the amount of over $4.15 million or 7.9 percent more compared to the same period of 2010.
Cement was imported in the amount of 158,000 tons during this period or 28.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2010. Cement was imported in the amount of about $7.4 million during this period or 20.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2010.
In January-March, Azerbaijan imported 244,500 tons of cement, which is 6 percent more compared to the same period of 2010.
