French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde announced Wednesday she is a candidate for the leadership of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), DPA reported.
Lagarde, the front-runner in the race to replace Dominique Strauss-Kahn, made the announcement at a press conference in Paris.
