In accordance with an EU proposal, Azerbaijan is considering the possibility of signing a multilateral agreement on a single sky, State Civil Aviation Administration Director Arif Mammadov said at an event on Civil Aviation Day.
He said there is a horizontal agreement between the parties, but the EU offered to sign a multilateral agreement.
The EU representatives will visit Baku to audit Azerbaijan's civil aviation compliance on June 7-9, Mammadov said.
The agreement concerns flight and aviation security safety rules. Countries signing such an agreement with the EU must bring its legislation into line with the European standards.
