Azerbaijan, Baku, June 21 / Trend A.Badalova /

Azbentizol intends to construct a bentomat producing plant in Azerbaijan, Commercial Director Ilgar Manafov told journalists on Tuesday.

"Our company is to identify the volume of sales of these products on the Azerbaijani market by late 2011," Manafov said.

Manafov said the estimated capacity of the plant will be 12,000 square meters bentomat for eight hours.

Manafov did not name the volume of investment to be made in new plant.

However, he mentioned the possibility of attracting funds from international financial institutions, particularly from the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB).

Baku hosted today a presentation to familiarize entrepreneurs and representatives of state agencies with a new building material - bentomat.

Bentomat is a geosynthetic material of polypropylene fibers, containing granules of sodium bentonite. It is widely used for waterproofing of underground structures, tunnels, highways, and
stadiums. The presentation was attended by representatives of CETCO Poland.

Bentomat's main advantages are low permeability, durability and permanence.

Azbentizol is a company engaged in the implementation of bentomat in Azerbaijan. The company intends to apply to the Taxes Ministry for state registration in the near future. The authorized capital is roughly $100,000.
