Iran predicts $900million-revenues from Imam Khomeini Airport

The Imam Khomeini Airport (IKA) revenues in last solar year (end March 20 ,2011) was $600 million and it is predicted that the revenues from IKA will increase in the current year up to $900 million, IRNA reported quoting Managing Director of IKA Mohsen Esmaili as saying.

"Imam Khomeini Airport's revenues from custom and airlines companies per year were $600 million and by the end of the current year (started March 20, 2011) the revenues will increase up to $900 million," he said.

More than $170 million will be invested in Imam Khomeini Airport. The talks were held to attract investments from 6 domestic and foreign companies while Iran found 300 possible investors for further investment in IKA, he added.

A total of 42 million passengers visited 54 airports in the country and comparing to last solar year (end March20, 2011) the rate of passenger transfer increased by 30 percent while the number of foreign flight had a 13-percent-growth.
