Iran 's iron reserves have hit 4.5 billion tons, IRNA reported quoting Behrouz Borna, director of exploitation affairs at the Iranian National Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization
"Iran possesses 50 iron mines and has considerable iron reserves to meet steel factories' demand," he said.
According to Borna, Iran is located on axis of rich iron source.
"More geological projects can be realized if the government provides the budget," he added.
