Tbilisi hosts the participants of the regional seminar organized by the LOGMOS project on Oct.3-5, the TRACECA secretariat reported.

The meeting will determine action plans on logistics and motorways of the sea projects in the countries of Caucasus and Central Asia. The event is organized in cooperation with the PS IGC TRACECA and the Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry of Georgia.

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Economy, National Secretary of TRACECA Giorgi Karbelashvili. The transport sector stakeholders from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan are invited to the meeting. The representatives of the European Commission will take part at the meeting as well.
The stakeholders will present their development programs aimed at the improved logistics services, containerization or Ro-Ro services in the TRACECA region. The specific action plans determined for development of the specific pilot project will be discussed as a basis of cooperation in LOGMOS field.

This is the second regional meeting organized by the LOGMOS project since May 2011.

TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) is an international transport cooperation program between the EU and its Partner countries in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia. It has a permanent Secretariat in Baku, Azerbaijan. The cooperation framework covers the areas of maritime transport, aviation, road and rail, transport security, and transport infrastructure.
