Baku to host Azerbaijan-Hungarian business forum

The Azerbaijani-Hungarian business forum will be held in Baku on Friday during the Hungarian President Pal Schmitt’s visit to Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) told Trend on Thursday.

The Azerbaijani-Hungarian business forum will be held in Baku on Friday during the Hungarian President Pal Schmitt's visit to Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) told Trend on Thursday.

The forum will be attended by companies representing such areas as the agriculture and food industry, construction, industry, education, consulting, ICT, finance and banking, healthcare, and logistics.

The last Azerbaijani-Hungarian business forum was held in late February this year in Baku. It was organised by the Economic Development Ministry of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and the Hungarian Embassy in Azerbaijan. From the Azerbaijani side the forum was attended by about 60 companies covering the economy, information technology, agriculture, industry, transport and construction.

According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, in January-August 2011 the trade turnover between the two countries reached $13.12 million, where $13.115 million accounted for imports.
