Azerbaijani bank’s assets increase by 24.5 percent

DemirBank’s assets as of December 1, 2011 amount 358.4 mln manat, which exceeds the same indicator of previous year by 70.4 mln manat or 24.5 percent. Volume of the loan portfolio also increased by 12.2 percent and reached 256.7 mln manat, the bank said.

DemirBank's assets as of December 1, 2011 amount 358.4 mln manat, which exceeds the same indicator of previous year by 70.4 mln manat or 24.5 percent. Volume of the loan portfolio also increased by 12.2 percent and reached 256.7 mln manat, the bank said.

Total value of customer deposits as of December 1, 2011 is equal to 145.9 mln manat. Value of individuals' term deposits has reached 98.1 mln manat, which represents a 20.9 percent or 16.9 mln manat increase.

As of December 1, 2011 DemirBank's shareholders capital amounted 21 mln manat, while total regulatory capital reached 49.1 mln manat.

One of the first banks of Azerbaijan, DemirBank (formerly called Azerdemiryolbank) started its operations in October 1989. Shareholders of the Banks include large international financial institutions, such as European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO).
