$149 million was invested in Adjara in 2011. That is 1.4 per cent more compared to 2010 when it was $147 million, the ministry of finance and economy of Adjara said.
According to the information, $44 million of the $149 million is local investment, whilst the remainder is foreign capital. The largest part of the investment, 44 per cent falls to tourism.
According to statistics, in 2011 $65 million was invested in the tourism sector, $47 million in construction, $36 million in industry and $1 million in transport and communications.
