Georgia’s foreign turnover increases by 35 percent

According to the preliminary calculations Georgia's foreign turnover amounted to $9.244 billion in 2011, increase by 35 percent compared to 2010.

Georgia exported goods worth $2.189 billion (a 39 percent increase), and imported goods worth $7.055 billion (a 34 percent increase) in 2011, Georgian Statistics Service told Trend on Tuesday.

The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $4.865 billion, increasing by 32 percent over the year.

Revised figures for foreign trade will be published on January 24.
