Assets of Azerbaijani Texnika Bank exceedes $780 million

The assets of the Azerbaijani Texnika Bank amounted to 613.7 million manat, decreased by 2.5 percent in January, the bank said on Friday.

The revenue on assets (ROA) was zero, and on capital (ROE) - 0,04 percent.
The authorized capital of Texnika Bank amounted to 64.8 million manat, and the total capital increased by 1.5 percent to 100.6 million manat.

Deposit portfolio declined by 7 percent to 314.9 million manat in January, including deposits of individuals amounted to 247.8 million manat. The bank's total liabilities amounted to 521.9 million manat.

Bank's loan portfolio declined by 2.6 percent, amounting to 423.5 million manat in January, where the proportion of bad loans (with the delay in payments over 90 days) reached 14.3 percent (60.6 million manat). Texnikabank issued consumer loans worth 28.4 million manat.

Total income of the bank during the reporting period amounted to 5.03 million manat, including interest income - 4.4 million manat, non-interest income - 0.66 million manat. The bank's expenditure amounted to 5 million manat.

The bank's profit amounted to 27.72 thousand manats and net profit (after tax) - 27.72 manat for February 1, 2012.

The Bank has the most extensive branch network among private banks in the country, and today has 35 branches and 19 offices. Texnikabank opened its first office outside the country - in Istanbul (Turkey) in 2011.

Texnika Bank has been operating in the country since 1993 and has been a wholly owned Azerbaijani bank till 2007. Currently, the bank's main shareholder is World Wines holding 75 per cent of its shares. Chairman of the Bank's Observation Board Etibar Aliyev and U.S. Kazimir Investment Caspian Fund hold 15 per cent and 10 per cent of the shares, respectively.
