Kazakh plant to repair aircrafts in Afghanistan

Kazakh civil aviation Aircraft Repair Plant located in the city of Aktobe on the request of Russian authorities will begin to repair aircrafts in the neighboring countries, including Afghanistan in the near future, Kazakh Deputy Defense Minister Talgat Zhanzhumenov said on Wednesday, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.

"The plant will conduct aircraft repairing in the neighboring countries, particularly in Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan at the instance of the Russian party. Thus, plant's potential will be used in full," Zhanzhumenov said at the plenary session of Majilis (lower chamber) of the parliament.

According to Zhanzhumenov, the plant currently repairs all types of Yakovlev design bureau aircrafts, light aircrafts AN-2 and aircraft engines.
