Official: President Ahmadinejad’s administration inks 250 MOUs with Latin America

Some 250 memoranda of understanding have been signed so far during President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's administration with Latin American nations, the director general for Latin America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
Kambiz Jalali told the Fars News Agency that huge energy resources, profitable markets, and streamlined investment laws are among advantages of cooperation with Latin American countries.
Tehran's presence in South America, especially, has increased noticeably since Ahmadinejad took office in 2005. Iran's trade with several South American countries has grown significantly in that time. Meanwhile, several regional leaders have endorsed Iran's self-proclaimed nuclear ambitions, and Tehran has opened six embassies in the region.
