Azerbaijan expects to achieve certain results following negotiations over the simplification of the visa system with the European Union in 2013, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev told media on Thursday.
"Of course, there is some progress in the negotiations on visa facilitation and readmission with the European Union," he said. "We look forward to some results in 2013."
He said that the third round of negotiations is expected to be held in Baku in November.
"The simplification of the visa regime will affect major population groups such as students, those traveling for medical treatment, and entrepreneurs," he said. "In general, it will cover about 10-12 categories. We will try to increase that number."
