Georgia's real GDP growth hits 7.5 per cent in third quarter of 2012

Georgia's GDP growth amounted to 7.5 per cent in the third quarter of 2012 compared to the same period in 2011. According to Georgian Statistics Service, the GDP for this period hit 6862.6 billion lari ($1-1.66 lari).

Real GDP growth hit 7.5 per cent during first three quarters of 2012, with a GDP deflator index of 1.3 per cent.

The highest growth was recorded in industry - 18 per cent, trade - 17.1 per cent, transportation and communications - 10.6 per cent, state administration - 9.9 per cent and construction-8.9 per cent.

A 5.7 per cent decrease was recorded in mining, and a 4.4 per cent decrease in agriculture and fisheries.
