A protocol was signed between Azerbaijan and Kuwait following the second meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.

A delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait, Foreign Minister, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah is in Baku.

The protocol was signed by foreign ministers of both countries.

Also four intergovernmental agreements were signed on cooperation in the sphere of culture, customs, security and fight against crime and cooperation between the diplomatic academies.

So far the legal basis between the countries was formed out of 13 agreements on cooperation in various fields.

As it was noted at the meeting, there are great opportunities for the development of bilateral relations in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres and a great role to enhance cooperation is assigned to the intergovernmental commission.
