Azerbaijan and Georgia are discussing the prospects of increasing the capacity of the Sinigkorpu checkpoint on the Azerbaijani-Georgian border, Head of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan Aydin Aliyev told journalists on Monday after a meeting with the Head of the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khuchishvili.

According to Khuchishvili, the parties established working groups to solve problems at the checkpoints.
"After modernization of the 'Sinigkorpu' checkpoint, we will decide whether to open a new checkpoint or not. A new checkpoint in Lagodekhi can begin functioning by the end of the year," Khuchishvili said.
