Deflation in Georgia amounted to 0.1 percent in September 2013.
As Gruzstat (the Georgian Statistics Agency) reported to Trend on Thursday, the prices in health sector fell by 8.9 percent, that is a drop by 0.82 percentage points in the overall monthly inflation compared to the previous month.
A significant reduction in prices, that is by 27.2 percent, was recorded in the health care services. The prices on food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.4 percent, which is an increase of 0.42 percentage points.
In addition, in September the prices for fruits increased by 10.4 per cent, for vegetables by 4.3 per cent, for milk, cheese and eggs by 3.9 percent.
