By Huseyn Hasanov - Trend: The report on preparation of the draft state budget for 2014 was presented in Ashgabat at a government meeting, a message of the country's government said on November 4.
"The project of the country's main financial document has been finalized in cooperation with ministries, agencies and hakimliks of velayats (administrations of provinces) in line with the recommendations and suggestions of the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the targets set in the national and state programmes for the socio-economic development," the message said.
According to the draft state budget, a significant part of the funding will be directed to the further development of social sphere and formation of a modern infrastructure in the regions and construction of various facilities.
The report quoted the Turkmen President who spoke about the necessity of constantly keeping on the focus the issues related to active implementation of the leading governance methods and international financial reporting standards in the activities of the institutions and organizations.
"Noting the significance of the draft state budget for sustained economic development of Turkmenistan and the successful promotion of the country on the path of progress and prosperity, the leader of the nation approved the draft state budget and signed a document on submitting the main financial plan to the Majlis (parliament) of Turkmenistan," the government's message said.
