International experience will help the Azerbaijani-British Joint Leasing Company in its business development, member of the Supervisory Board of the company from one of the founders - the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), Rashad Hajiyev said at a press conference on the presentation of a new board on Nov.14.
The new composition of the company's Supervisory Board includes the executive director of the Joint Leasing Elchin Ahmadov, Chief Financial Officer of IBA Rashad Hajiyev, as well as expert Michael Boardman. Chairman of the Supervisory Board is Emma Harriet Nicholson, Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne.
"The IBA has always been a truly international company with a large network of foreign partners. Preservation and development of this principle is one of the priorities of the IBA. Often using only internal resources and expertise, it becomes difficult for companies to enter international markets and the process may take years, even decades. Therefore we have invited foreign experts to the Supervisory Board and hope through their experience and qualifications to enter international markets and develop foreign relations in Joint Leasing," Hajiyev said.
According to board member Michael Boardman, the aim of the new Supervisory Board is to improve the international position of the company.

"In addition, our goal is to improve opportunities to attract resources from abroad. We will also explore and offer new opportunities for the company in the local market," Boardman said.
As the chairman of the Supervisory Board, Emma Nicholson stressed that the renewal of the board is not a mere formality.
"This is a real action designed to achieve real results. Business development does not take place immediately, but I think that in the near future we will be able to report on some progress," the Baroness said.

Joint Leasing Company JSC began functioning on June 14, 2007, as a legal successor to the Azerilizing Company. The founders are the British Dolphin Leasing LTD company (52.3 per cent) and the International Bank of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani first leasing companyAzerlizing joint venture was established in 1999.
