Some 693 companies from Azerbaijan are working in Georgia, the Georgian National Statistics Service told Trend on Feb. 25.
Azerbaijan ranks seventh among foreign countries with companies operating in the Georgian market, according to the service.
Iran ranks first on this index where 3271 Iranian companies work in Georgia, followed by Turkey (2781), Egypt (1530), India (1323) and Russia (1201).
Moreover, 635 companies from the U.S., 617 from Israel and 464 from Ukraine are represented on the country's market.
The companies from European countries are represented as follows: Germany - 408, Italy - 194, Cyprus - 152, France - 147, Greece - 141, Great Britain - 125, Lithuania - 101, Netherlands - 98, Spain - 94 and Austria - 94.
Some 16,915 companies from 115 world countries are operating in the Georgian market.
