As of June 1, some types of business licenses and permit issuing mechanisms in the sphere of business activities will be abolished in accordance with the decree of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov on measures to further improve procedures related to entrepreneurial activities and provision of public services.
The document envisages abolition of some 16 types of business licenses procedures and nine permit issuing mechanisms documents.
In particular, obtaining of the decision on the approval of land plot choice, obtaining the permission for the construction of roads adjoining or crossing a public road will be abolished.
Actors will not be obliged to license touring and concert performance both in the republic and abroad from June 1. Furthermore, the licensing of the concert service of the weddings, anniversaries and other ceremonies will be abolished.
The size of fees while registration of licensed types of activities and permit issuing procedures decrease, reduction and simplification of procedures for obtaining of permits and licenses are considered, according to the decree.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan jointly with the State Committee for communication, information and telecommunication technologies, other relevant ministries, state committees, agencies and organizations are instructed to ensure, from October 1, 2014, the functioning within the Single portal of online government services of the personal "cabinet for entrepreneurs", allowing to carry out online application of financial, tax, statistical and other reports; payment of taxes and other mandatory payments.
