Uzbekistan’s ranking in WB’s GDP table based on purchasing power parity unchanged

In 2013, Uzbekistan took the 66th place in the World Bank's gross domestic product (GDP) ranking table based on purchasing power parity (PPP).

The WB rating included 190 countries.

Previously in 2012, Uzbekistan ranked 66th in WB's rating.

WB said the size of Uzbekistan's GDP based on PPP was $156.256 billion in late 2013, compared to $106.931 billion in 2012.

Uzbekistan's GDP in 2013 was $56.796 billion, according to the WB report. This corresponds to the 75th place among 190 countries. As of 2012, Uzbekistan ranked 74th in the world with an indicator of $51.113 billion.

GDP per capita in 2013 was $1,878, or 9.2 percent more compared to 2012 ($1,717). Uzbekistan ranked 126th for this indicator in the WB rating.

The World Bank said Uzbekistan occupies the 43rd place in the world in terms of population with 30,241 million in late 2013.

Uzbekistan's GDP in 2013 grew by eight percent compared with 2012 and amounted to 118.987 trillion soums, according to Uzbekistan's State Statistics Committee.

The official exchange rate on July 7 is 2316.27 soums/$ 1.
