New plant producing innovative road-building materials was launched in Kazakhstan's Mangistau region, Kazinform reported.

Caspiy Tas Zhol plant has capacity of 160 metric tons of asphalt mixture per hour and is located in the Economic Zone "Aktau Seaport".

The plant can produce asphalt of all factions, as well as composite asphalt mixture containing innovative stabilizer. The stabilizer improves the quality of the road-building material, ensures its water resistance, wear resistance and increases its tensile and compression strength as well as heat resistance by 2-3 times.

The first phase of the enterprise development cost 195 million tenge (180.87 tenge = $1) and its implementation started since April 2014. The second phase (March-April 2015) will require another 110 million tenge, and this would allow to produce 25 metric tons of construction materials (bitumen emulsion, roofing material, waterproofing materials) per day.

The company also plans to implement the third stage of development in order to produce road signs. This phase is planned for implementation in 2016, and requires 70 million tenge worth of investment.

The equipment for Caspiy Tas Zhol plant was purchased in Ukraine, meanwhile utilities were purchased in Italy and Germany.

The plant has ecologically clean production, emissions are minimal.
