HSBC Bank Kazakhstan (Kazakh Subsidiary bank of HSBC international banking and financial group) was renamed to Altyn Bank, the bank said.
Earlier HSBC Bank and Kazakh Halyk Bank entered into an agreement to sell 100 percent of the shares in the charter capital of Subsidiary bank HSBC Bank Kazakhstan. The shares were sold on 28 November.
Altyn Bank is not connected to HSBC or any member of the HSBC Group since this date.
The change of control will not affect existing legal agreements with the clients and they will remain in force, the bank said.
HSBC is one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations. Its network covers 85 countries and territories in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa, North America and Latin America.
HSBC Bank Kazakhstan has been operating in Kazakhstan since 1998.
