Inflation hit 0.1 percent in Kazakhstan in April, Kazakh Statistics Committee under the Economy Ministry reported May 4.
Food rose in price by 0.3 percent, non-food items - 0.2 percent, paid services decreased by 0.1 percent in April compared to March.
Inflation since the beginning of the year hit 1.2 percent. Food rose in price by 1.9 percent, paid services by 2 percent, non-food items decreased in price by 0.4 percent since the beginning of 2015.
In April, among food goods, the average price for fresh vegetables increased by 7 percent, grapes - by 5.5 percent, olive oil - by 3.6 percent, dried fruit and nuts - by 1.7 percent, alcoholic beverages - by 1.6 percent, baby food - by 1.2 percent, canned fish - 0.8 percent, confectionery products - by 0.6 percent, rolls and pastry, sausages - 0.5 percent, white bread of premium quality, cheese - 0.4 percent. Meanwhile eggs reduced in price by 2.4 percent, sugar - by 2 percent, poultry - by 1.6 percent, vegetable oil, butter - 1.3 percent, sunflower oil - 1.2 percent, rice - 1.1 percent, cereals - 0.9 percent, raw milk - 0.7 percent.
The increase in prices for newspapers and periodicals reached 1 percent, furniture and household goods - 0.9 percent, cloth and footwear, detergents and cleaning products, pharmaceutical products, goods for personal use - 0.6 percent. Gasoline prices fell by 0.4 percent, diesel fuel - by 1.2 percent, liquefied gas in cylinders - by 9 percent.
Health care services increased in price by 1 percent, hairdressing services and hotel services by 0.5 percent, recreation, entertainment and culture services - 0.4 percent. Fares for railway long way transportation fell by 0.7 percent, intercity bus fares - by 2.2 percent, air transportation - by 2.7 percent.
In the sphere of housing and communal services, tariffs for gas distributed among population decreased by 1.9 percent, electricity - by 0.4 percent. Meanwhile tariffs for housing maintenance rose by 0.3 percent.
