The Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved a law "On the sanitary-epidemiological welfare of the population".
This document is intended to replace the law "On the State Sanitary Inspection" adopted in 1992.
It is aimed at improving the legal framework of the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the country, an effective system of disease prevention, preservation of public health, the implementation of sanitary norms and regulations, strengthening of the civil society institutions' participation in this process, establishing of the sanitary-epidemiological requirements, the requirements for the prevention of diseases, including vaccinations, preservation and strengthening of the health of the population, especially children.
The public health is mainly determined by the sanitary and epidemiological welfare in the current terms of globalization, the expansion of the migration processes, the development of comprehensive economic, cultural, humanitarian exchange with other countries.
