Georgia announces tenders for construction of three hydropower plants

The Georgian energy ministry announced the tenders for the construction of three hydropower plants: Sakuneti, Dviri and Atskuri.

All three hydropower stations must be built on the Mtkvari river, Samtskhe-Javakheti Region, Georgia.

The approximate installed capacity of each of three hydropower stations must hit 10.4 MW, approximate annual generation - 55.5 million KW/h, approximate investment amount - $15,000,000.

The completion date of the project Feasibility Study and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment must not exceed 12 months from the day of signing of Memorandum of Understanding.

The hydro power plant construction commencement date according to the construction permit must not exceed 8 months from the day of making decision on construction of the hydro power plant.
The maximum selling price of electricity to JSC "Electricity System Commercial Operator" is 6 (six) US cents per 1 KW/h.

The interested parties willing to participate in the Expression of Interest must submit their bids in accordance with the conditions set out by this document, until 18:00, November 6, 2015.
The bids can be submitted during the working hours in the Georgian ministry of energy (Address: 4 th floor, 2 Sanapiro Str., Tbilisi, Georgia, 0105).
