Georgia reduces import of Azerbaijani products in 2015

Georgia imported $542.89 million worth products from Azerbaijan in 2015, or 14.85 percent less than in 2014, the Georgian National Statistics Service's report as of 2015 said.

This is while the country imported $637.58 million worth Azerbaijani products in 2014.
Georgia imports products from several countries.

Azerbaijan ranks fourth among these countries. The share of Azerbaijani export in the total volume of products imported to Georgia is seven percent.

Georgia mainly imports goods from Turkey. During the reporting period, the volume of Georgian import from Turkey stood at nearly $1.33 billion, or 17.2 percent of the total volume of import.

Russia ranks second with the total volume of $625.67 million worth products imported by Georgia (8.1 percent), and the third place belongs to China with $586.99 million (7.6 percent) worth products.

Georgia mainly imports gas, oil products, electricity and construction materials from Azerbaijan.
