Uzbek Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov, who is on a visit to Munich, signed a number of documents with Siemens on the development of cooperation in various fields, the German company said.

The parties intend to cooperate in the implementation of the Safe City concept. They will consider the possibility of implementing integrated solutions for fire safety, evacuation systems at urban infrastructure and transport facilities in Uzbekistan. This also includes the use of Smart Grid technologies in the modernization of electricity grids.

Furthermore, Siemens will improve the skills of the employees of the Service Center UNGM-DR, a joint venture engaged in the repair and diagnostics of equipment for oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries of Uzbekistan.

Another document was signed between the Health Ministry of Uzbekistan and Siemens Healthcare.

The parties intend to develop cooperation in medicine, science and equipping medical institutions. In particular, a joint clinic specializing in oncology, cardiosurgery, neurosurgery and traumatology will be created in Uzbekistan.
