The official exchange rate of Azerbaijan’s national currency, the manat, against the US dollar set by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan increased by 0.0706 manats (3.9871 percent) in 2017.
Accordingly, the average rate was 1.7205 manats per one US dollar at the end of 2017.
The peak rate of manat against the US dollar was observed on February 1 and 2 at 1.92 manats per one US dollar. The Azerbaijani manat strengthened by 11.5 percent as compared to the peak rate.
The minimum rate of manat against the US dollar (1.7 manats per one US dollar) was observed on December 6 and kept its position until December 12, after which the US dollar strengthened slightly and stood at a rate of 1.7001 manats per one dollar.
