Turkey is interested in increasing trade turnover with Kazakhstan up to $10 billion because Kazakhstan is one of the most important Central Asian countries and a strategic partner of Turkey, a source in the Turkish government told Trend Feb. 16.
"Turkey and Kazakhstan have a huge potential to increase trade turnover and will cooperate in this sphere," the source said.
According to the source, the trade turnover between Turkey and Kazakhstan amounted to $2.4 billion in 2017, which is 23.8 percent more than in 2016.
"Turkey imported goods worth $1.678 billion from Kazakhstan in 2017," the source said.
According to the source, the total amount of Turkish investments in Kazakhstan has reached $3.2 billion, while the amount of Kazakhstan’s investments in the Turkish economy - $712 million.
According to the source, Turkey will continue to increase investments in various sectors of Kazakhstan.
