Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Board Chairman of Turkey's Ronesans Holding Erman Ilicak, the TDH state news agency reported.

Ilicak informed the president on the projects entrusted to the company and on fulfillment of the assignments given previously.

Particularly, construction of an important facility that has no analogue in the world – the plant for production of high-quality gasoline from natural gas in Ovadandepe – was reported at the meeting.

Noting particular importance of the modern gas processing plant, Berdimuhamedov highlighted that successful realization of this large-scale project will be another step in increasing production capacities of national oil and gas industry, development of which has strategic significance for the national economy.

The construction of the plant began in 2015 in line with a contract signed with a consortium of companies that includes Japan's Kawasaki and Turkey's Ronesans. The work is carried out thanks to investments of the Japanese side and funds of the Turkmengas state concern.

The plant will annually refine 1.785 billion cubic meters of gas and produce 600,000 tons of premium quality ecologically clean A-92 petrol, meeting Euro 5 standards.

The plant is scheduled to be commissioned in December 2018.
