Azerbaijani company Az-Granata, which produces fruit juices and alcoholic beverages, has started to export wines to the Ukrainian market, director of the company’s alcohol production Vugar Mikayilov told Trend.

“Presently, alcoholic beverages are mainly exported to the Ukrainian market,” he said.

"Today, there is great demand for Agdam wine in the foreign market,” Mikayilov added. “This product is very popular in almost all foreign markets, including that in Ukraine. By the end of the year, we intend to increase exports of this wine to Ukraine. About $20,000-25,000 account for the supply volumes."

According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, exports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as wine vinegar from Azerbaijan in January-August 2018 amounted to $9.37 million, which is about 39 percent less than in the same period of 2017.
