Investments in health and social services in Kazakhstan for the three quarters of this year amounted to 73.8 billion tenge, which is 53.7 percent more year-on-year, Finprom.kz reported.
The largest investments were made in Almaty region (13.2 billion tenge) and cities of Almaty (11 billion tenge) and Astana (7.1 billion tenge).
The least funds for health and social services in the three quarters of this year were invested in Shymkent – 621.9 million tenge.
The main source of the investments was the local budget, from which 28.3 billion tenge was allocated for the 9 months. Another 27.1 billion tenge amounted to own funds of the business.
National budget invested 15.3 billion tenge in the health and social services, while investments at the expense of borrowed funds and bank loans totaled 3.2 billion tenge.
Despite the growing investments in the development of health and social services, their share in the total investments in the fixed capital is only one percent.
