The Tashkent city administration met with representatives of the Belgian companies Progress Belgium s.p.r.l. and Universal Medical Treatment LLC, which plan to create a network of hemodialysis centers in Tashkent, Uzbek media reported.

The guests underlined that treating kidney diseases is a socially significant issue in Uzbekistan due to lack of equipment and necessary medical centers.

Progress Belgium s.p.r.l. plans to create a network of hemodialysis centers using modern laboratory and diagnostic equipment and advanced methods of treating patients with various pathologies of kidneys.

It was noted that such centers operate in Georgia and Brazil. The UK considers a project on creating two centers. There are already 40 hemodialysis centers operating in Russia and 13 more will open soon.

The meeting participants stressed that these centers will significantly reduce the load on hemodialysis departments, which are currently deployed in various state medical and preventive treatment facilities.
