Number of registered construction companies decreases in Turkey

In September 2018, 68 construction companies were registered in Turkey, which is by 25 companies less compared to the same month in 2017, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend Oct. 26.
At the same time, in September 2018, construction companies fell on the share of the most companies registered in Turkey overall.
The Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges also noted that in September 2018, 45 companies providing IT services were registered in the country, which is by three companies more in comparison with September 2017.
"In September, 11 electricity production companies were also registered in Turkey, which is by 18 companies less compared to the same month in 2017," the TOBB stated.
In September, the number of companies registered in Turkey increased by 25.31 percent, and the number of registered cooperatives increased by 20 percent.
In September 2018, 6,328 companies and 66 cooperatives were registered in Turkey, while 41.62 percent of registered companies and cooperatives fell to the share of Istanbul.
At the end of January-September 2018, 65,638 companies and cooperatives were registered in Turkey.
The TOBB stated that the number of closed companies at the end of the first nine months of 2018 decreased by 8.64 percent, and the number of closed cooperatives - by 10.65 percent.
