Investments in the construction of a car battery production plant in Azerbaijan will reach 20 million euros, a source close to the project told Trend.
It is also planned that the plant will use international experience to organize the process of collecting and disposing of used batteries.
As reported earlier, it is also planned to deploy the production of lithium-ion batteries, however, this requires addressing issues of legal regulation, as well as issues of their transportation and disposal.
Lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries are known to be dangerous for the environment and require special attention in the matter of their disposal. In addition, for the transportation and disposal of lithium-ion batteries, an appropriate license should be obtained.
In order to organize their production in Azerbaijan, it is also necessary to develop an appropriate legislative framework.
