In the current Iranian year (started March 21), Ardabil branch of Iran's has allocated 236 billion rials (roughly $5.61 million) of loans to the investors of the country's Ardabil province, Ahmad Allama, the head the Ardabil branch of the Bank of Industry and Mine, said, Trend reports via IRNA.
Allama noted that there was an 11.5-percent increase compared to the previous Iranian year.
This year, 58 loans worth 630 billion rials (roughly $15 million) have been given out, he added.
Allama noted that during the first months of the current Iranian year, 338 billion rials (roughly $8 million) were repaid to the bank, which shows a 33-percent increase compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year.
"During the reported period, the assets of the Ardabil branch amounted to 1.006 trillion rials (roughly $23.9 million). Commission payments amounted to 429 million rials (roughly $10,000). Last year this figure was 429 million rials (roughly $6,000), thus, there is 142 percent increase," he added.
