In the current Iranian year (started March 21) Iran exported non-oil products worth $33.8 billion to various countries, Iran's Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi said, Trend reports referring to Iranian media.
Mir-Ashrafi noted that in the first eight months of the current Iranian year Iran's exports increased by 13 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Mir-Ashrafi added that during the first eight months of the current Iranian year, the country's imports decreased by 13 percent, but this reduction is not satisfactory for Iran.
He noted that different and practical programs should be applied in order to improve the current economic condition of the country.
Mir-Ashrafi added that regulation of the inflation, strengthening of the national currency and support for production, employment and investment are the main goals of Iran's Economic Affairs and Finance Ministry.
