The hazelnut processing factory located in Azerbaijan’s Zaqatala district intends to increase production volumes up to 3,000 tons per year, director of the factory Ilham Isayev told Trend.
“This figure amounted to 2,500 tons of hazelnuts in 2018,” he added.
"The factory fully operates everyday, including Saturday and Sunday,” Isayev said. “Wages are paid to the employees monthly without any delay. There are no failures in production."
He added that the factory’s products are popular in foreign markets, especially in Europe.
"Our products - hazelnut kernels, including roasted hazelnuts, are supplied to almost all European countries,” Isayev said. “There is a great demand for hazelnut flour in European countries. The most reliable partner and customer in the European market is Italy. We systematically export hazelnuts to Italy."
He stressed that the factory’s products have been certified (ISO 9001).
The modern German, Italian and Turkish equipment is used at the factory.
