Iran is trying to eliminate export barriers, said Reza Rahmani, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Trend reports referring to ILNA.

According to Rahmani, if Iran will manage to increase exports to $1 billion, it will create jobs for 50,000 people.

Rahmani stated that next year (started March 21, 2019) export will become the driving force of the Iranian economy.

"Production and export require branding. The government has enough will in this area," he said.

Pointing out the increase of the share of exports to neighboring countries, the Iranian minister added that Iran has land and maritime borders with 15 countries. These countries imported products worth $1.3 trillion last year.

“Iran's share, however, was just $25 billion," he said.

Rahmani added that, with Iran doubling exports to neighboring countries, at least 1 million people will be provided with jobs.
