Iran's first export consortium office starts to operate in Iraq

Iran's first export consortium office has started its activity in Baghdad with the support of industrial parks of Iran’s Qazvin province, Naser Behzad, Commercial Attaché at the Iranian embassy in Baghdad said.

The establishment of a joint office can be considered as one of the most successful ways to increase the production of raw materials and export more goods to other countries, Behzad added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

He said that the establishment of a consortium will result in the creation of permanent jobs, increase export of goods by the member-states of the consortium and reduce transportation costs.

Since March 21, 2018 up till now, Iran has exported non-oil products worth $8.3 billion to Iraq.

The volume of export of Iran's non-oil goods to Iraq increased by 54 percent, while the value - by 45 percent during the reporting period.
